In an era where book bans and censorship threaten the freedom to learn, 'Power of the Page' emerged from Robert Morris University’s Allegheny Advocates in support of EveryLibrary—the only Political Action Committee dedicated solely to supporting library funding and protecting intellectual freedom.
By partnering with high-profile Pittsburgh luminaries like Emmy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated rapper Frzy and former U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb, D-Pa., the team showcased libraries as safe spaces that foster critical thinking, connect underrepresented communities to essential resources, and preserve a diversity of viewpoints.
Over four weeks, the campaign generated 283,000 combined media impressions, earned coverage on Pittsburgh’s 100.7 Star, and secured 230 new contact list sign-ups of people eager to help EveryLibrary champion library rights—53% above the initial target. ‘Power of the Page’ successfully mobilized diverse supporters, brought 48 attendees to the Carnegie Library event, and positioned EveryLibrary as a leading voice against censorship.
